Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo is a rescued Pomeranian from Marilyn’s Voice Rescue in Mentor, Ohio. My brother and I drove 8.5 hours one way from Connecticut to Ohio on New Year’s Eve of 2015 to pick the little guy up. At the time I rescued him he was assumed to be between 3-4 years old, without knowing his actual birthday we have been celebrating his adoption date.

Like most rescues, Jimmy Choo had an unsuccessful search in finding his forever home prior to being adopted by me. The rescue organization informed me he was surrendered 3 times mostly because of his “behavior”, this could have stemmed from various unknown reasons. We believe one of the main reasons was his kidney stones development that required surgery causing a financial burden aside to dealing with a very irritable and aggressive in pain. Marilyn’s Voice definitely took the proper measures to ensure each application was thoroughly reviewed and followed up with several phone interviews to find the best fit for “Jimmy Choo” knowing his history.

Through donations, Marilyn’s Voice Rescue was successful in proceeding with surgery to remove the kidney stones. Post-surgery Jimmy Choo was put on a c/d multicare urinary care prescription diet to avoid future kidney stones from forming. This diet requires a prescription from your vet; I use Chewy.com since they offer more flavors in multiple forms (dry food, cans and treats). I signed up to Chewy’s auto ship program  with flexibility to modify my shipments as needed.

Jimmy Choo has a very sassy personality and some attitude, a very strong dog who has overcome a lot in his life! A few loves and hates of Jimmy Choo:
